MOOSECOCK
A probing, penetrating film about two guys with a lot of time on their hands, and the misguided director who felt that time should be documented on film.
(comedy)
DIRECTED BY: Will Hartman
WRITTEN BY: Will Hartman
STARRING: Brian Baumgartner, Kevin Rahm, Jared Hillman, Vanessa Smith, Brian Patrick Mulligan, Tom Schmid, Ilia Volokh
RUNNING TIME: 6 minutes
FILM BIO: Moosecock screened at more than 40 festivals in 2006-2007 including Palm Springs, Austin, Denver, Hawaii, Florida and Nantucket.
FILMMAKER BIO: There is a saying that if you put ten thousand monkeys in a room with ten thousand typewriters, one of them would bang out of something akin to Shakespeare. Well, Will Hartman was one of those monkeys, and what he banged out was Moosecock. It’s not Shakespeare, but just like some of that bard’s bests plays, it does have a lot to do with moosecocks.
PRODUCTION NOTE: Moosecock touches something deep inside many people. It’s an explosive subject matter that people can really get behind. It was shot in two days, in a diner in Burbank California. Brian Baumgartner had just finished shooting what would be the first season of The Office and was not yet the star he is today.
Los Angeles’ KROQ morning hosts Kevin and Bean and Ralph Garmin are fans of Moosecock. And why wouldn’t they be?
