Mark Wahlberg does NOT do the singing in this movie or for the soundtrack. The singing is done by Miljenko (Michael) Matijevic who sang for Steelheart and Jeff Scott Soto who sang for Yngwie Malmsteen and Journey, among others

Still a good movie.

I can't say I agree that ROCK STAR is a 'good movie'... but it is amusing enough. It's the kind of movie where if I stumbled across it while I was flipping channels during a commercial of some other show that I was enjoying, I would set it as my 'last channel' to watch during future commerical breaks.

One of the little things in that movie that both baffles and amuses me is part of Jennifer Aniston's arc. So she goes off to Seattle to open up a coffee shop, right? And they make a point of showing her as this thin lady with long flowing hair (with a center part). I think she's even got flowers on her in one scene...

So tell me - is Jennifer Aniston supposed to be the Starbucks brand icon lady? Well?
