What is it?

So this is a new site. Fancy. But how does it work? What does it do? How can I really enjoy it? Will it get me laid? Whoah, slow down.

The founders of Comedy Film Nerds are Graham Elwood and Chris Mancini, two filmmakers who are also comics. Or are they comics who are also filmmakers? Who cares? Anyhoo, we started this site for comedy and film fans. And to make money. Oodles of it. Disney money. Well, not really. We started this site because what we wanted to see in a comedy and/or film website didn’t exist. So here we are.

We will be bringing you all sorts of things related to comedy and film. Look for articles, reviews, standup and yes, actual films. We will be going behind the scenes and in front of the camera giving you insight no one else can give you. Mainly because well, we know people.

As you can see, there is a cart. Not only will be bringing you great and funny content, but you can actually buy things. On the internet! Isn’t that amazing? CDs, DVDs, T-Shirts, and lots of downloads. You’ll get to know the people involved in the site. Maybe you’ll even buy something of theirs. But no pressure.

There is a calendar to see when your favorite comedy film nerd will be performing near you and there are message boards to really let us and everyone else know what you think. So be gentle.

So will this site get you laid? Are you into Cosplay? Then… maybe.

SHORT FILMS

There are hundreds of thousands of streaming short films and videos on the internet. So why buy our short films? Because all of ours are done by professionals. They are worth your time. There are no user uploads. At least, not yet. Here are films made by actual filmmakers, mostly even shot on film, not by someone in their basement with a DV camera. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but there are other places for it. What we feel we offer has value and we feel artists should be compensated slightly for their work. That’s the philosophy here. So we’re offering the best short films for download. We offer a select few, ones we think are truly special. These are films you’ll want to keep and watch again. What makes you want to watch some movies but own others? Basically, you like the movies you own more. So that’s what we’re offering. Movies you’ll like more. Some are available elsewhere, and some are exclusive to this site. Either way, you’ll enjoy the best short films around without having to slog through a thousand videos of people being hit in the head with a shovel. We only have a few of those.
